Found this one in a pawn shop. It's a .357. I'm probably going to try to find some original grips for it, but these are growin' on me.

Well .......... YES!

That whole picture is growing on me!

........... and I'm a double action sort of guy!!!

............. I'd let it soak some more ..... those grips look good and since the "rent" is still low .... why fight it??

Best regards and good bargin huntin' ......... !

It is a nice pic, you have a talent for setting up a good photo.

It's a Blackhawk, right? I have several, and there isn't a better handgun out there in my opinion, at least of you don't need it to shoot fast, but I wouldn't exactly feel naked before my enemies if a single action revolver were all I had.

Very nice. Blackhawks are great guns, accurate and reliable. I use one for cowboy action and with a bit of practice they are fast enough :)

Those are nice grips on the gun, what wood?

Nice looking 3 screw, bluing looks untouched, has it been converted? I wonder what a guy has to give for those in your neck of the woods, just a ball park figure would satisfy me. And Yes that is a very nice pic you do do a good job of setting up. Dennis

I gave $350.00 but they usually run $450.00 and are in worse condition. This one has not been converted thankfully. I believe that's what they call Tiger Wood. Not the Golfer though. Those are 172 grain Keith boolits in .38 Special cases.

That's a great score, especially unmolested...I mean unconverted.

Bought a 6 1/2" for my 15 year old for $400.00 last summer, then found a 4 3/4" for $369.00. Now he has a brace and thats what he uses in cowboy matches in El Paso black leather Tommy Three Persons holsters

That's a really nice piece 'ya got there, looks like great shape, it'll make a fine shooter; great price. It's a '71 or '72 gun based on the 31 prefix serial number, made just before Ruger changed over to the lawyer dictated New Model. I've got it's great Grandfather or maybe Great Great, in a 3 digit Flattop, here's a pic of it.

And it's Grandfathers, which are Transitional Models linking the Flattops and the "Eared Models". When they phased out the Flattops, they had left over Micro rear "steel" sights and steel ejector rod housings, and used them up on the first Eared Models. So they had 3 different transitional models, Type 1 with both Micro Sight and Steel Housing; Type 2 with aluminum sight and the steel housing, and Type 3 with both the housing and sight in aluminum, but still with small serial numbers. They changed to the larger serial numbers early on also. Here's a pic of the three different guns. If you can find any of these for $350, you'd really be cutting a fat hog in the butt.
