It was (and perhaps still is) a popular design among bullseye comp shooters. There was a Lyman clone #452488 as well. Anyway it is a solid mold-shoots very well and if you take good care of it, it doesn't matter how much you use it...it'll always look the same and most likely you won't wear it out in a very long time. I have had a four cavity H&G mould for the #130 for many, many years. It is one of the best casting moulds I have ever used. They just fall from the mould. They shoot extremely well from my three 1911 platforms as well as from my pair of 625's.

The only complaint I have is that the #130 doesn't cut as clean a whole as the #68 SWC does.

This first target is the H&G #130. Notice how the holes are not quite as clean as the second target:

This one is the H&G #68 bullet:

These targets are not indicative of the relative accuracy of the two bullets. They were shot at 25 yards, standing. Off a rest (bench or Ransom Rest) either of these bullets from a good pistol or revolver will shoot inside an inch (well under) all day long at 25 yards.

The H&G moulds are fine moulds, indeed, but there are NO moulds that will better the Mihec moulds I have (and I have a number of them).

Well, Dale, I hate to disagree with you on that point, but I will. I'd take a genuine H&G over Mihec's any day and twice on Sunday! And I do own two of Mihec's.

chuckS1;
We are all entitled to our opinion, sir...

Personally, I am not going to get rid of any of my H&G moulds OR Mihec moulds any time soon.

I got a NRA Illustrated Reloading Handbook from the early 60's. The then and future National Bullseye Champions all shot H&G #130 in linotype. Not a #68 mentioned in any load data.

I have been using two 130s that were cut from the same cherry. He competed on the national level also. I decided i want my own and purchased this one.
