This is just to help the freechex3 type guys out there who made their own dies. If you use just a BIT of neversieze on the outside spindle you can run a few hundred checks at a time until any sticking problems crop up. I usually get 3-4 hundred checks until sticking becomes a problem. If you have a super hard spring you can disregard though[smilie=l:

I use Lyman unique case which is lanolin based and basically the same as mink oil paste, it lasts about the same as the neverseize but isn't as nasty and just wipes off your hands with a paper towel, or you can rub it in and have lovely soft hands for your sweetheart ;)

Really the, the OP makes a great point and it works equally as well on the FC II design.
