Smelting today, my collected WW's contained something never seen before: a heavy ceramic wheelweight. And BTW, the pot skimmings turned up a razor blade, so be aware, guys!

I could care less about the smell of animal guts, I have swum through diesel fuel/oil/salt water ships bilges, I worked in a nursing home as a third job for a few years wiping old peoples butts, EMS/Fireman; 9 times out of ten working a code, theres aspirated corn. As a younger man I chewed. But,,,

Snuff spit in the weights, that's just naaaaasty.

I smelted my first batch of indoor scrap a week or so ago. Lots of poop swept in with it. I had a number of plastic .410 wads keep slipping in and they stink when they burn off.

I sort mine, dump the trash, then smelt the good stuff only!

I always think of gloves about the time I'm half done the sorting and find an old used-up wad of chewing tobacco. That explains the brown film on everything!

I haven't died from it yet! :dung_hits_fan: Cough, cough!

2lb hammer, ww removal tool, battery plates, 12 rolls of 95% lead-free solder, 6lb bar 99.95% jewelry grade tin, needlenose pliers, 2 boxes turn signal bulbs (that fit my truck), 2 rounds un-fired 22lr ammo, and 5 novacaine ampules, 2 not used.
Oh yeah, lots of razor blades, and chaw residue also called flux.

I use to collect WW but here in the Peoples Republic of California they banned the lead ones so I get less then a third usable lead now! I also get the it's hazardous material story allot so now I only get them from the guy I buy tires from.

Stuff they pull out of tires when doing patch and plug jobs including, bones, keys, s hooks, screws, nails, parts of antlers, fish hooks, various wood splinters, metal shards, glass shards, screwdrivers and various tools, etc... found a whole set of allen wrenches, and several screwdrivers, pocket knife, unopened tin of snuff, pack of cigs, church key, cheap broken digital watch, lots of fancy stem caps and some valve keys. Seems something new each trip through the buckets. 10
