Could some one ID this for me. It is a .45acp 200 gr trunciated cone bullet, Very well made and cast uniform bullets. No other markings that I can find.

Thanks,

That is a Saeco mold. The sprue plate mounting is a dead giveaway. Saeco makes very good molds. Bill

It has SAECO handles on it also, but I cant see the cavity too well in the pic and since Redding got SAECO I have found it difficult to ID their discontinued molds.

Kopper,

I second what others have said about this being a Saeco mold by the sprue plate... judging by the number "068" stamped on it, and the shape of the cavities, I'd say that this is a Saeco #68, which is a clone of the H&G 68 (a very good clone, too)

I recently acquired a 4-cav H&G 68.... this makes me want to go cast some!!! Yours looks like a bevel-base design... should throw a 200 grain boolit...

Yup, that's a SAECO #68. All SAECO #68's are bevel based. Their plain based version of the same boolit is their #69. H&G listed all their boolits of that shape as #68, and if it was a bevel based version it would be #68BB, which is what they did for all their moulds I believe. I had a 4 cavity mould of the SAECO #68 and a 2 cavity of the #69, and they were both great moulds! I think of the factory moulds, SAECO is one of the best around.
