That's good to hear. What powder are you using? Is there much of a variety of propellants available there?

The 3rd generation Smiths are great guns.

Ditto that! From "The One That Got Away" Department......local dealer c. 2004 had a mint-condition Model 5905 for $550. Thass' right, blue carbon steel receiver, blue slide. Thought it was a mite high at the time. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I have always found S&W 9mm pistols to have very lead-friendly barrels. I don't have any experience with their new line of M&P pistols, how do they handle poured boolits?

i use vectan ba9 or vitha powder the only 2 brands we find here, ba9 is similar at the burning rate of your unique .
5906 made around 93/94 with round trigger guard and a hood on the rear sight
disembled for cleaning this evening pistol very well made quality and steel
no regrets

I always liked the looks of the "wings" on the adjustable S&W pistol sights. The Vectan powders are pretty rare here, but I have heard that ba9 is the one for 9 m/m. I've never used any Vihtavuori for 9 m/m loads, some 45 ACP but mostly precision rifle, it is expensive powder in the US.
