A while ago I got a Winchester BB in .375 Win and of course the need for a mold arose. So I got one from Ranch Dog but I will write about that later.
As reading this forum is expensive another thread had me ordering a mold from accurate – I ordered it in brass and to be throwing a heavy for caliber 310 gr boolit.

Here are the molds:

Two days ago I had some time. My original plan was to cast some with both molds but soon I learned I am not advanced enough to concentrate on two molds at the same time so I moved on only with the heavy boolits. The reason behind that is my powder selection is currently limited to IMR3031 – that should work better with the 310 grainer in the .375.

After cleaning the cavities and lightly smoking warmed her up and applied some Bullplate lube to the sprue plate.
First off it took quite some time to get into the right temperature swing for fill-out. But the boolits dropped nicely and once it was up to temp it worked.
After a while I got the hang of it and with a little circular wiggle motion soon all three cavities filled out nicely. I guess that’s just the learning curve a not so experienced caster will have live through.

Here are the boolits
