I think this must fall into the category of a solution looking for a problem to solve.

But it is cool!!

If we look at buying as something we NEED and as we look around at the handguns we have the word "NEED" becomes a desire. A desire is not necessarily a need, Although it could be a desire in relationship to something we need.
Most of us do not "NEED" the guns we have. We have them simply because we desire them.
There will people who desire to have a double barreled 1911. There will be those with such a desire to have one it becomes a "NEED" to have one even if it is just as a curiosity piece.
So in my estimation there will be ones with a "NEED" to own one even if it is because of the gnawing desire to own one simply to have a curiosity piece even though the 1911 has served us well for many years with just a single barrel.
The desire to own one may be great for those that must have the most outlandish to overwhelm some gun owners that are into being overwhelmed.

I wonder if you can just put two individual single stack mags in it instead of the "one" double stack. :)

I wonder how they worked the timing out on the recoil pulse. You know one always shoots sooner than the other.

Nobody needs a Corvette, but I'm sure a boatload of Malibus were sold because someone spotted the Cherry Red 'Vette in the showroom.

I seen the MSNBC article on this today. Of coarse the lede on the story was "Gunmaker invents "chilling" double barreled pistol". Chilling wasn't the first word that came to my mind. I noticed in the video supplied with it that the manufacturer was Italian. Remains to be seen if it will even be imported to the US. I'd rather have a Howda anyway.

Yup just an answer looking for a question. You can't improve the 1911. It was perfect 100 yers ago and still is.

Blammer if you stare at that magazine(s) I think that it is 2 single stacks held together by the base piece. If you look at the mag well in the gun you can see a bar across it. certainly could not put a solid mag in there.

Italy??? We'll have to see if the thing fires before we get too excited about it. :)

OK I saw the video. Now I'm definitely not excited about it.

The perfect handgun for those with that pesky double vision! Other than that, about as handsome as Nancy Pelosi in a thong.

Whoa, David, that was a mental image that I truly did not need. I may be scarred for life!!

The last thing I need is to double my cost of shooting a 1911

Like the Tarus Judge, it's a great paperweight.

I wonder if it will cycle on one side only. If not, it opens the possibility of a lot of issues.

Anybody happen to catch a pricetag on that thing? Just want to know if I should sell a few items to save up for that!

A friend of mine says he was asked to order one. Supposedly, (believe it or not), there is a long waiting list on these, and I believe he told me it was $2,400.

Personally, I'd rather have 2 Kimbers for the same money...

I stopped needing any new guns many years ago... It hasn't stopped me from buying though.

That one isn't my cup of tea, but it's nice to know someone is still working on new ideas.

It just occurred to me.....

If this thing takes off, the holster mfgrs are going to have fun. Beyond something generic like Uncle Mike's, I doubt if anybody will spend much time/money messin' with it.
