At the local gun show and should be able to pick up about 300lbs of pure lead for $0.30/pound. Had some tin at $10 pound, but sold by the time I made it back to talk about the lead. Had to take all he had that was his Dads to get that price, otherwise $0.50/lb. Had a Saeco hardness tester that I let slip by as got to talking about the lead and walked away--probably could have picked up for $50. I should be set now unless I really get into the BPCR!

The tin was a little high anyway.

Golly, ONLY 300#'s????????????
Hey Ron? hehe ain't it?
He needs to look at those three boxes under my bench huh?
Hey, good deal, if you're happy, I'm tickled for ya,
Last order, just the other day, with Art Green was for 40 boxes of alloy, 65 pounds per box, to be delivered one a month. 10 boxes of lead. 30 boxes of linotype. I think that he has several tons of linotype in stock. Don't know how much lead he has. 310-274-1283.

Klw, What's Art's asking price?

I'm not sure that there is one price for all. I know that he use to give volumn discounts. And, thought I don't know it to be true, I suspect that having been a long term customer probably doesn't hurt either.
The last linotype order he sold me was just under 70 cents per pound delivered. I got a lead shipment a week or so ago but he hasn't billed me for that yet so I'm not sure.
But his prices are usually very good and his metal is EXCELLENT!
