Ultra-Lube White Lithium Grease

I just bought some Ultra-Lube White lithium grease. Is this ok to use on my sharps? I just shot some black powder and I wanted to brush some of this stuff on the metal to wood areas. I just wanted to know if this stuff will ruin the walnut wood. Anyone ever use this junk?

Petroleum products in general are poor choices for application to fine stock finishes.

Use a good auto wax on the metal areas that are hidden by the wood. I wax all the metal if I'm going to hunt in inclement weather.

White lithium is an excellent grease for a lot of metal to metal applications but it does not belong on wood.
