Maybe it was an example of what not to do. He's going to have one really big ingot when he gets done.

What an idiot. Holding the ingot mould in ypur hand? With that strong a lead stream?
Looks like he has a nice setup, now he just needs the brains to use it safely.

He's burning the top of his hand with the stream of molten lead and the bottom with the torch.
/Those must be great gloves

I suspect he lit his sleeve on fire also.

I don't think he planned to be holding his muffin pan while it filled. It's just that the flow started while he still had a grip on it.
Should have torched the spigot, drained it out, and closed it BEFORE loading a new batch of lead to melt.

He does not appear to have been hurt, fortunately,

The title to the video says " Lead Smelting Accident" he also explains in type "Thank goodness for safety gear! My mistake... heating the pour spout while it was open! "

I would say he's HUMAN.

They both learned something without getting hurt.

The first video has been posted on the forum before. The guy in the video is a member. If I remember right it was in his thread about the smelter he built.

yep, looked like he forgot what stage his equipment was left in between batches and the fix was the torch for the frozen open plug, meanwhile batch 2 is ready!

Well at least he posted what he did wrong for others to learn by. How many of you would want the world to see your mistake?

That youtube video along with the guy that had water blow his lead all over him and the driveway caught my eye.

I'd rather learn from others than by trial and terror!
