I got some stuff from the goodwill yesterday. I got an 8 section miniloaf pan steel for $3, stainless steel pan for $2, and several pics frames that are not marked but I am sure will melt for $4.50. I got a good deal and I have already broke the pic frames so they will fit in the melting pan. I got about 1+lb of pic frames for about $4.50. Not going to take a pic of the frames as I will melt them soon.

Every time I've gone to Goodwill locally there prices are close to an antique store.

I passed up a nice hammered pewter mug today at Goodwill. They had it marked $5.96. It was about a pound.

Goodwill(s) near me sell pewter mugs and other goodies for 99 cents or 2 dollars. Expensive stuff is about 3 or 4 dollars for the frames but they are usually big. You are getting robbed.

Is there someone else here in St Louis going to the resale shops and clearing out their pewter, cast iron and stainless pots before I can? http://www.theliberalgunclub.com/phpBB3/images/smilies/grin.gif

I've bought a few things at Goodwill. I'm not getting robbed if I kept my money. It is their stuff, they can price it how they want.

Melted the frames down today. I alloyed it with my custom alloy and the added an inch of lead free solder and the added a little lead. I made a 4lb ingot of the custom alloy. I fluxed heavily with pencil sharpener wood dust and wax. Used my miniloaf pan with 8 slots for the ingot. My ingot is almost the size of a quarter of a brick.
