A little Lee-menting

Finally got round to it! I made some brass laps and opened the lower band a little and then the check area.
Checks fit perfect and go on with just a little snap.
Tricky because the lap will wear fast, faster then aluminum.
I used 480 paste.
While I was at the lathe I made a muzzle protector for a friend.

How do you drive the lap, mate?

How do you drive the lap, mate?
I put an old drill chuck on the shaft and turn it by hand as I squeeze the handles little by little.
