I bought 144 Lb. from a recycler today for $0.25 a pound. It was a mix of types, Clip on wheel weights, a few stick on, ingots, used fishing weights, battery clamps and some that (most of the weight) I have no idea what they are. They are very soft so I think they may be pure. The whole load except about a dozen fe clip ons and 1 copper battery clamp.

Does anyone know what these are? There are 6 of the thin ones with the hole in the middle.

I wouldn't use the stuff in the last picture from the batteries. There is a sticky here about why you don't want to go there. I would just trade it back to the recycler for something else.

Just guessing those with the holes are desinged to be weights.
I agree with Bumpo about those battery plates.

I had already decided the same, not worth the risk.:evil:

The weights (with the hole in the center) all are very soft. I believe they are pure pb.
Over all I think I got a good deal.:-)

I am now gathering a load of aluminum to take to the recycler.

They look like alot of the weights guys around here use on their dirt track race cars.
