Hi
I am going to get myself a 300 WSM,what reloading dies would you go with?,I was thinking of going with the Lee Collet dies, but just want some opinions please.

So,would you go:
Lee Collet Dies
Hornady
RCBS
Redding or any others?

Thanks for any replies ;)

I use Redding and love them. Full lenght, Neck Sizer, and a Seater. I load some very accurate ammo with them.

You will really like the 300wsm. Mine isnt your average hunting rifle, its build for long range target shooting but I have made 1 mile hits with it and am currently working towards 2000 yards.

As far as your dies go I currently have I think every die set manufacturer in my arsenal. My bench looks like a bag of skittles!! I dont stick to one manufacturer and to be honest as far as dies go I had two problems.

One set of 25-06 RCBS would not size to fit my chamber on my gun one call a couple bucks shipping I got a brand new set of rcbs dies.

The other a set of 222 LEE dies would not set the 40gr vmax bullet I used to the proper depth I fixed this myself but emailed LEE just to let them know they sent me a new plunger for the die stating the dies were not made to load anything smaller than 50g bullets but they have fixed the problem and sent me the new smaller diameter plunger.

My 300 wsm dies are REDDING and I have no complaints. I only paid $10 for them at a gunshow.

By what you can afford or are willing to spend whatever you get a deal on

I also love the 300wsm I have never shot anything past 300yds with it but I can shoot sub moa groups everyday. 1/2" @ 100 1.25 @ 200 and around 2.75@ 300. It is a Browning A bolt I just had to have syth stainless my such a pretty gun.

The only problem I have found with the 300 is the pain in the shoulder to shoot my 300 maybe sees 50 shots a year while my 357 lever and 22 mag probably see 3000......

All in all great caliber!

Skittles,I like that :) I have a few dies also, some of them are Redding and some are Hornady,Lee and Simplex(Australian company),the Hornady dies are real good,so are Lee,but the Redding are very very good.

Only $10,that IS a deal,good catch ;)

I have bought the Redding Deluxe dies, for about $68 US,so I should be happy with that.
Cheers

Yeah mate,it is an Australian company, been around since the 50's or 60's,they make presses(I have two),dies and other equipment, real good value and real good dies, did not get them in 300 WSM,for they did not list them.
Have a look here if you want:

Jansa arms is a reseller of them.
