I've got a birthday in about 3 weeks and have decided to treat myself to a new Rolling Block. Got one in 45-70 and 30-30. I have been searching the internet for a 357 mag or 38-55 Rolling Block for less than $1000. Have not had any luck. Please keep you eye open at the gun shops you visit for me. If we can locate one at a reasonable price I will order it and write up the first range report here.

The biggest gun show in the nation (4100-4300 tables) is 3-31, 4-1 in Tulsa OK. You aught to be able to find one there for your price. Plus it's a fun trip.

I have a Baby Rolling Block, No4, semi customised. Love it. The only down side is after a full day of high volume rabbit shooting (not hunting) my thumb is raw from the rolling, half cocking, ful cocking, rolling.

John, I appreciate the offer. Decided to spend my money on a double barrel 30-06 (USSG). I have the 45-70 they make and am just tickled with it.
Appreciate the input,
