I am no collector just a shooter and I did not even know about "23's" ........ but I sure like CZ and BRNO rifles and have a "24" and just thought someone here would like to take a peek at this ...........

I've never heard or read of anything referencing a '23 before. A '24 yes but not a '23. Wonder if it isn't a typo. I would like to get my hands on a '24 w/the lion crest intact, at a reasonable price. The few that I've seen are going for more than a good 03-A3.

+1, spot on. Mauser Military rifles of the World, second edition shows the VZ 23 as a short rifle.
