I took one buck with my SKS, (stock iron sights), at 50 meters out. He didn't even take a step, just dropped on the spot. I walked over to check on him, and on my way back to the box-stand, I heard a buck snort and turned around to find a nice little 4-pointer standing about 25 yards away. Since my SKS was back in the box-stand I took him out of the gene-pool with my .44 Magnum Single Action revolver.
I mean, any deer that is that stupid, needs to be taken out.

105# dressed = 45# of meat after processing= many yummy sausage links

and old Arminius... It was the only tangible item my father left to me. Not very valuable or rare, but priceless to me.

That revolver has taken more deer than all my other guns combined

Now, I just wear the revolver on my hip as my "personal carry weapon"...
I do have a nice T/C Super 14 in .44 Magnum I take out for handgun hunting, if I can find a stock iron rear sight I'll take the 4x32 scope back off of it for next season.
