I have two and like them both. Not top of the line but shoot good and function well. I have a 44spc and a 357, both with short barrels.

Rossi/Puma makes great rifles (1892 Winchester copies, etc.). I have three of them and would happily pick up another.

I don't own any of their revolvers, but the ones I tried were so-so. I prefer my Rugers.

Good morning
Have a Rossi 5 shot 38 Special 2"down here that have owned for 8 years & bought used. My near everyday carry with a Hip-Grip on it. I polished every wear point on the firing system and it has a very nice double action trigger. Mine is # D756xxx. Parts look very much like the S&W 36 which is not surprising. Never a problem. Have fired probably 500 rounds through it. My carry load is a 165 grwc 40-1 with 4.5 grains Unique. My practice is same boolit with 4 grains U. Once a year I renew the white enamel on the front sight.

I have Model 68, bought new in 1988, It is every bit as good as my S&W Model 36 and gets more shooting and carrying than the 36. A casual observer can't tell the difference when they are laying side by side. The Rossi has never had a factory round fired thru it. I'll part with the 36 before the 68!!!

I have the Stainless 851 (I think) with a 4 inch barrel, vent rib, target sights and large wood grip in 6 shot .38 special and I like it. I t was a little rough double action but after shooting it quite a bit, it has smoothed out and works quite well. It's based on a S&W design and is very accurate. A friend bought the 2 inch stainless snubby at the same time and has run a lot of ammo through his and no malfunctions yet.

No offence but just saying simply you don't like doesn't help him much. Do you not like the function, way it feels or is it the wrong color?

I've had a number. None of them are up to the finish standards of higher dollar guns, but I've yet to have a functionality problem with one.

One of my favorite .32's is a Rossi.

The bore of the barrel is off center (visibly). It was returned by a gun shop for service, and they said it was within spec.

I've only witnessed the bore off center in the barrel twice in my life. Both times in Remington BDL rifles. Remington also said they were in spec. Those barrels were rapidly turned into HI-Tech jack handles, Rossi barrel wouldn't work; too short!!

Rossi's tend to be rough, but basically sound guns. Problems that I have seen included poor regulation of sights, and rough grating actions. It is my impression that the ones being made now are a smidge nicer than the ones being made back in the eighties.

Mine with the crooked bore is an 80's gun.
