Yesterday in the rehab of a Colt Detective special that was very rusty I needed to remove the extractor star. Brownells has a tool for that job but I didn't have it and this is probably the only time I'll ever have to do it. Took a 13/16th six point socket and stuck it in the vise and extended the star into it and using the cylinder, unscrewed it and of course used it to put it back on for the last part of a turn. Worked like a charm.
