I'm loading mine over 6.0gr Unique at 1.167"

thank you. i think i'm going to try right around 1.180 that seems to give me a decent amount of bearing surface above the case mouth. i tried 1.160 and it looked like the bearing surface sat below the case mouth

Yeah. At my seating depth almost the entire front driving band is in the case. However, that is what I need for it to chamber in my gun.

I have fired many of those at 5gn Titegroup, 5gn Bullseye, and up. I seat to 1.180 also.

I am using 6gr bullseye with col of 1.180 for idpa. need to down load it for idpa but it shoots so good I have a hard time going lower.

Alliant recommends a max of 5.8 gr of BE under their 200 J bullet.

i think i'm going to start off with 4.5 grains of bullseye to try out the OAL and how it functions for feeding and such

25 of them loaded with BAC and 25 loaded with javelina

My Kimber shoots the rcbs 201K into 1 inch at 25 with 6 grains WSF.Unique and TG do well also but WSF is super accurate.COL is 1.250.Fed primers are more accurate than others in my pistol with the WSF load. Most of the time 3 or 4 shots go into a ragged hole.

I think there should be a penalty applied.

Any newbie starting with an MP mold is getting an ENTIRELY unfair advantage over
the rest of us poor fools that started out with $6.50 Lee molds many decades ago.

Just not fair, I think this mold is too good and too easy to use for new guys
that haven't paid their dues with cheap molds with loose tolerances. :kidding:

Not only that, you aren't learning anything about how do deal with burrs, slightly
bent sprue plates, and other critical skills.

I think MP should require some sort of proof of owning crummy molds before
he will sell you one of his masterpieces! ;-)

If you are using a factory FMJ load as starting place and change to a cast FN or HP boolit, what should you do to the OAL of the new load? I see some are using COAL, but I didn't see that defined... C for Complete, maybe?

Use your barrel as a gauge for the OAL
This is a dummy round your making.
remove the barrel--
seat a bullet long, take away some flare as to not hang up in the barrel.
Keep seating deeper a little at a time, when the back of the case is flush with the barrel hood your done.
test for function,
I find 1.180/1.185 to be fine in my Springer and a buds Kimber.
50/50 mix WW & PB WD
4 gr. BE = a nice target load 4.3 tite group is also nice.
