Well, I just won a Lachmiller 2 cavity bullet mold on an ebay auction (I rarely bid on any molds on ebay, ya don't know what yer gittin'). I was mostly curious as I don't need any more 357 bullet molds but, I tossed a bid at it anyway and won. It's a simi-wadcutter, 162 gr., two lube grooves, wide driving band, and small front band. No numbers were mentioned on the auction description. Don't know much about Lachmiller other than they were a quality mold and since gone out of business. What did I buy? BTW, I paid $35.00 with shipping ($6.50 shipping).

Thnx...

Lachmiller was bought up by RCBS. They are good moulds! You got a good deal!!

I forgot to bid on it last night.

I had that same mold at one time and sold it. One of the dumbest things that I ever did.

I have the later RCBS version of that mold and really like it: Casts easily; CB's are very accurate in my .38Spl. and .357mags. You did very well Pilgrim!

I have that mold as well, kinda like a 357446 lyman. Only mine shoots better than my Lyman. GP100man got me hooked on one, kept searching until I found one.

I also have an RCBS version of it. It is very close design, but the RCBS I have is a gas check mold. I'd like to find a plain base, but I'm not sure RCBS actually made a plain base, I've only seen the gas check design. Maybe one day I'll have the gas check removed from mine.

Your description sounds like Lyman 357446. Lachmiller must have had it first and sold rights to Lyman.

The meplat & oglive are alot different on the Lachmiller from te 357446 !!

Here`s my Lachmiller , it has no vents (earlier mold ???) but I put some beagle tape on it to offer the air a place to escape.

Casts like a dream !! Boolits jump out when the mold opens !!!

Compare em to the 357446.
