The 9.3x62 brass I got will not fit in the shell holder!! Got brass form two different sources and both have rim to thick to fit the RCBS #3 that it call for. What are you using???? Clint

I've heard on other forums that the Lyman #2 seems to work better and others had the same problem. I guess the Lapula brass is much more consistent.

RCBS #2 shell holder works with properly-dimensioned 9.3 x 62 brass (.480" @ rim). RCBS #3 shell holder works with brass derived from 30-06-based brass (.473").

My first brass lot for the 9.3 was reformed from R-P 35 Whelen cases. Upon fire-forming, a slight but visible expansion above the "pressure ring" appears. Probably innocuous--but just the same I use the Whelen-derived brass for cast boolit loads, and the proper brass for the Mastodon Flatteners with Nosler Partitions.

My son saw that Walther makes 9.3x62 M1 Garand barrrels. He has a new fantasy gun.

I like that. My own was/is a Win Model 1895, if I hit the lottery. One of the Rising Sun Repros would be the donor rifle.

I had the same problem with partizan brass. Ordered a second rcbs shell holder and very gently dremmeled the open up the shell holder. Took off only a few hundreths of an inch.
