Going thru some boxes and found six tubes of this stuff. Don't remember ever using it, probably bought it for later use and never did.

Is this stuff any good? Its still in its tubes and in a sealed bag.

If I recall correctly Tamarak was 50/50 Alox and beeswax. Only issue I ever saw was it was a bit soft in the summer.

I believe it has on it that it is half alox, half high temperature microcrystalline wax

I used that back in the 70's to early 80's and it worked just fine in my .357's and .44's as well as my .45/70. The problem I had with it was the Texas summers would make it too soft to work with very well in my work shop, so I switched to Javelina which is 50/50 Beeswax/Alox. The Tamarak does lube as well as the Javelina, it was just a little messier to work with during the Texas summers.

I've got some too, in my surplus box of odds & ends. Used it in the seventy's.

Good stuff, almost identical to Javelina. If you don't want it let me know and I'll take it for a reasonable price?

Seems it may have been a Tradename for an idustrical lubricant of the one of the major oil Companies, too.
