Vetterli bore slugged .426 is .430 cast bullet ok

Title kind of says it all. Have a model 69/71, bore is a little rough. Best I can tell bore is .426, already have Lee 310gr .430 mold. Will I be ok?

I'm a novice at boolit casting, but I'm hooked.

Should be fine. I just cast that boolit for my son-in-law for his Vetts. Lee moulds tend to drop a couple of thou over stated size, but these sized easily at 430. If they chamber, your rifle will size them. To avoid leading and loss of accuracy, avoid choking your boolits in cases that are too tight. The case should only be a thou or two under boolit size and if you cut down long brass cases to get your brass, you may be out of the annealed area and into the harder part of the brass. I applied gas checks, but that is not likely necesary at speeds you will be shooting.
