I was wondering if anyone has converted a Vaquero BH grip frame to fit a ROA or if it is even possible? I know that they are 2 different grip frames, but are they so dissimilar that the one cant be modified ( have never seen a Vaquero GF so I don't know myself)
or is my only option reshaping the ROA gripframe into a birdshead of sorts?

Just got an ROA myself and it appears to have the same frame as the Old model blackhawks. Should be able to find them used and new. Midway has some, but no birds head. Only one's I've seen recently below:

thanks for the link. The Ruger forum pointed me in a couple directions. The project has progressed from a thought to a work in progress...sent the gun out to the smith to have the barrel cut and recrowned to 3.75" as well as have the loading lever reworked.

When done, the loading lever will not have the leverage to load the cylinder w/o an extension of some sort... maybe a brass rod bored out to fit over the loading lever
