I was at a gun show in Kendrick, Idaho this morning, and there was a really interesting display on one of the tables.
A man, Wally Studer from St. Maries, Idaho had hand made a 20mm/80 caliber Sharps.
Beautiful work in Stainless and walnut!
Boolit for which he made the mold, is 1400gr, ahead of about 280gr of black powder.
The rifle is said to be a 1 1/2 replica of a 50/70 Sharps and weighs about 35lbs.
Wally makes the brass by hand also.
They has some video of it being shot, and well it is something. [smilie=w:
The fellow at the table, a friend of Wally's is shown shooting the rifle and that is also something. :veryconfu
The rifle is so heavy, the fellow says it is really not that bad to shoot. Well maybe?!?!
Many, MANY hours to build!
The fellow said there were pictures on the net, but I was unable to find them.
I did find reference to the rifle. but ------------------
Keep em coming!
