The CMP is selling cheap ammo right now, with bulk ammo prices’ going up this is an excellent opportunity to pick up some plinking ammo cheap.

It is sold out. I tried to order some this morning but my "credentials" were out of date. I faxed them in but by that time it was gone :-(

CMP $230 per 5,000 .046 cents each

Blazer $12 per 500 .024 cents each

Depends on wether the cheap(er) stuff shoots acceptably well for you. Plus, it's made in America.

That's 4.6 cents each, not .046 cents each.
And that's 2.4 cents each, not .024 cents each.
The CMP stuff was 1.8 cents each, for comparison.
All the above "assume" shipping NOT included.
A moot point.

And Federal champions from Cabelas at the moment is $70/2100 with a "free" dry plastic storage box thrown in. That makes theirs 3.3 cents each. That does not include shipping.

Who has the Blazers for 12$/500 ??

The Remington's were $90 a case or 1.8 cents apiece. A guy on another website posted a pic of his receipt that came with the ammo he received. $229.90 for 2 cases (10,000 rounds) delivered to his door or 2.3 cents a round.

I was just trying to give a heads up on some cheap plinking ammo. Wal-mart has supposedly raised their prices on federal bulk to $19.97 of 550 or 3.6 cents apiece.

I'd love to know where to buy cases of Blazers for $120 or $240 for 2 cases (10,000 rounds) or 2.4 cents apiece. But that price doesn't include shipping or if bought locally tax.

Oops! Did'nt see where the CMP price was for 2 cases. My local Dunn's Sporting goods is carrying the $12.00 Blazer.

I had to upgrade my credentials with the CMP and by the time I did, I'd missed out. Looks like that was some popular stuff. The 525 bulk packs of Remington Golden are up to 20 bucks and change at Bass Pro now.

I opened one and it looks great.
