It may be a while before I can do some accuracy testing. Do you guys think it will have accuracy problems being hollow at both ends? Should the HP be more or less?

This was my first attempt, I think I can refine it a bit. The HP is around 0.210" at the opening, tapering down at 60 degrees to about 0.110" and continues an additional 0.140", for a total depth of around 0.300".

how the hollow's work is gonna be alloy/velocity dependant.

why 457?
i'd be more comfortable just making the boolit big enough to do it's job.
expecting to bump up the last 1/8th inch to hold the rifling can't be condusive to accuracy.

.457 is the bullet diameter. Its for 45/70.

Depends on what you shoot them in. All my 45/70s won't shoot .457 boolits worth a darn and like .460s just fine. My rifles in this caliber are a pair of Marlin '95s a Ruger #1 and a Browning single shot.
