A site radius increase of approx 8.0". The rear site comes from the Williams peep site line, originally intended for a Marlin 336...The only thing I needed were 4 washers, for a 1/8th" screw, .015" thick. I happened to have some, in brass, but I'm sure radio Shack could find something to get you in the neighborhood. I re-used the scope rail screws, as the suppplied Williams screws were too large. I bought some 5x48 blind filler screws to fill the front 2 holes when removing the scope rail. I also bought from Brownells, a dovetail "plug" to replace the OEM rear leaf site. The Williams site is for a marlin 336, btw. It came that close to being perfect. But as for usefullness, it scores 100points +!

Agreed about the sights, pretty much a necessity for me these days when I don't want to use glass or relegate it to safe queen status.

Lookin good !:bigsmyl2:.........hopefully shootin good too.
Hope it's as accurate as my Rio Grande in .30-30.

PS: It's a good idea to take all the pictures off your walls & do a couple of advance "Hail Marys" for the upcoming cuss words before trying to get the mounting base off the top of the Rio Grande receiver............Rossi locktited em in good on my gun.

Really wish they made the Rio Grande with an octagonal barrel. Since I'm in wish mode, octagonal in 38-55
