Has anyone lubrisized their boolits with their regular stick lube, than tumble lubed them in some alox diluted with mineral spirits. Would this help, hurt or be like wearing a belt and suspenders at the same time?

I have done that with comercial cast that had that rockhard blue lube on them.
It did help some. But in the end I recycled them into my next few casting
sesions. They made good flux and much better boolits this way.

you can have too much lube on a boolit.
i'd try one way or the other or both and see which you like.
doing both is pretty extreme.

I have done it, but mostly only on commercial bullets with the "Blue crayon lube from hell" that gave me some leading.
The LLA eliminated the leading but did not increase accuracy.
I have also had a few batches of bullets very slightly undersized. Again, two LIGHT coatings of LLA reduces/eliminated the leading.
Don't see why all commercial companies don't switch to a 12 BHN and a lube like BAC, 2600, or Carnauba Red. Is there some large and inexpensive source for this brittle and not very useful Blue lube that encourages commercial casters to NOT use a truly effective lube?

I always cut my alox with mineral spirits. Otherwise it would be like putting syrup on boolits.
