well im trying to get a good idea of what i have left for equipment to get, but i have ran into a few problems. i need some help finding some stuff for certain bullet calibers:

first one is the 7.62x54r, i need an expander for this i just want to make sure i got the right one: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=199295 just want to make sure that is the right one for this caliber.

next is the 7.62x39, same as above: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=153391 or this one: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=409943 or this one: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=129697 as you all can tell there is a good amount of choices for this one. im not sure where to go on this one.

the last one is the 7.5x55 will anyone of the oinks above work for this caliber. im just trying to get a good runnig list of parts for everything i need.

thanks jason

Save yourself some money and get the Lee Universal Expander. Works for a good many calibers and is less expensive. Most who use it seem to think it works better than the Lyman M-die expanders.

I like the M die expanders but never tried the Lee. Let us know how it works.

Yep, I'll second the motion for the Lee Universal die.

It's actually a Universal mouth-flaring tool, since it doesn't affect any part of the case except the casemouth. The "M" dies from Lyman actually do expand the inside of the case neck to a pre-determined size, using expanders of differing diameters and lengths.

The Lee die will NOT work on .416 Rigby cases, because the die's diameter won't allow entry of the fat Rigby case. For these, I continue to use an RCBS .30 Carbine expander (no kidding!!!).

I use the same expander on all the mentioned calibers------ .308 expander for .308---7.5x55---7.62x54R----.303 Britt--and believe it or not the 7.62x39--- Adjustment required for each caliber---- I do need an expander for 7MM which will probably end up being a Lee universal expander---- Right now for the 7MM I'm using an over sized bullet and small hammer to flair open the mouth---Mag

A quick and "unclean" way to go - check out your punch pin, nail set collection. Might find just what you need. We have been using an old craftsman 1/4" pin punch to bell the mouths of both 8x57 and 7.65x53 cases. Slow, but it works. Price is right. But the Lee Universal is a better way to go, and gives great results on roundball squib loads.
