Orville California A2 press patent Pending

I picked up this old RCBS press although it doesnt say RCBS. It has Orville, CA cast into it and has patent pending on the top where the dies go. It has the removable thread insert for the bigger dies. I would say this one is cast steal.


I have to get my camera a get a pick up.

Does anyone know when the A2 presses were patented? This one would be dated before that.

from what I can find it would be Pre-1959

Huntington has/had a museum of sorts at the store in Oroville - Most likely a call to fred jr would get you the info.

The Patent, # 2,847,895 was issued on August 19, 1958.
