I handled a S&W model 35 today at the local gun show. It was in good shape but I didn't have an extra $1000 bill to walk off with it. What are yours that you have had to walk away from?

I've had to quit going to gun shows. Retired, no extra $$ at all, and the pain is too great. . . .

I guess I'm retired too and just don't see any extra $$ at the present time. SS won't be in effect until early next year. Like it was said, I never saw a gun that I wouldn't want to own. BC

I have a Model 34 that I bought in the 70's, it is one of my favorite pistols.

I've had many grails over the years. Right now it's a colt new service that I can turn into a monster snubbie 45 Colt

Holy Grails......Gianni, yer killin' me here.

Saw a 90%+ S&W Bekeart 22 LR x 6" about 3 years ago. The price wasn't great, but not ridiculous either.

I just missed (by one day) a S&W Model 25 variant in 45 Colt in a Nevada store a few months back. Kudos to Love Life for that info.

I still have yet to see a Model 16 S&W on display for sale. I would be VERY hard-put to not do what was necessary to get that example. Even another Model 16-4 might prompt similar action. esp. if a 4" barrel.

Holy grails:

Model 57 S&W,
Model 657 S&W performance center
Model 24 S&W

That's just S&W, you shouldn't get me started.

last one i seen [after i got the owner to give me a price] was 3k or a swap for a 50 cal rifle,

I have a much milder addiction than many. If it isn't made of milled steel I don't want it at any price. Unless I can sell it for for a price of course.

Al,

How much were they asking for the Bekheart .22 S&W? I got a version that was made
after the Bekheart guns, but is the same gun, about 3-4 yrs ago in a Topeka show in
nice condition for $400. Not really sure what they are worth, but I like the little
cutie. It has a tiny brass disk set into the front sight back surface. Accurate with
the right ammo, does not like some ammo at all.
