To repair an (inner) magazine tube that has worn to the point that the follower is no longer retained in the magazine tube, you can use a Lee Collet crimp die for a 30/06 or a 7.7 Japanese or a .308 Win to "recrimp" the end of the tube to reduce the OD and the ID of the tube to retain the follower. (Do not "over do it".) Hope this helps someone, Safeshot
