I had to go to wallmart today, and the pharmacy was closed for 30 minutes.(my luck)
I decided to check out what they had in the sporting goods section. there were several marlins, some blue and some stainles guide guns, and a cowboy. The cowboy had connecticut on the barrel. My question is, does this mean it isn't a remlin or not. How exactly do you tell, the price tag was 707 bucks, I didn't even check on the guide guns. They did have a model 39 marked down to 554 bucks, the price sure made my old one look good.

Starmac,Remington has made no cowboys that i know of.Look on the left side of the barrel were it screws into the receiver,it should have a jm stamp right there.

I don't know when I will get back to wallmart, but they apparently are not running short on marlins yet here. they even had one of the alaska centennials, which I figured were long gone.
