50-90 load

Loaded up some 50-90 with black. Anyone use smokeless for this round?

Yes, I shoot a 560 grain paper patch boolit with 64.5 grains of IMR-3031, a pinch of Polyfill. The boolit is seated .580" in the case. From my home made double rifle, (22" barrels), it averages 1,806 fps. This is max in my rifle due to the thin wall muzzles. Quickload was dead on for velocity, and is says it produces 28,000 Psi. I do have a few other loads with lighter boolits.

Just realized both my Accurate arms powder and Lyman manuals have smokeless data.

Take a break and shoot some 5744 or SR4759.
Plinking is more fun than getting beaten like a step child.
