Hi guys,

I have a PB check maker ordered from Pat, is there any other source for the thin aluminum needed other than pop / Arizona cans ?

Amerimax (http://www.acehardwaresuperstore.com/887-aluminum-valley/15576.html) aluminum roof flashing from Ace Hardware. Use a paper cutter to cut 1/2" strips - you'll get 9 checks per strip with the 30 cal. punch.

PB wants thin material. (Plain Base. Not shanked for Gas Checks.)

A while back I went to the local newspaper and talked to them about lithograph sheets.

50 sheets the size of a newspaper page run me a dozen donuts, and a pound of coffee.

In my experience with the PB checks the thinner .004 can material worked just as well and was more accurate in my rifle than thicker .010 alum. and copper. These were shot at full speed in a 35 rem. with a 200 gr bullet. Actually killed my first cast bullet deer this year with that bullet and check combo.
