Some where I saw accessories for Lever rifles that had a knife to help remove jams. I think the blade had a flat point.

Its so nice to get old and you cant remember a thing. :violin:

Any help will be appreciated

Another option is the electricians pocket knife with the tip ground for the screws. Case's pattern 031.

As my good wife says, I am a font on useless information.

I use my Leatherman. With a Leatherman, a couple of rolls of duct tape, some JB weld and a mess of soft wire I can fix almost everything ever invented my mankind! I carry a Leatherman and a Schrade Vise-grip multi tool all my waking hours.

I use a Swiss Army knife. With a little filling i have two blades (the flat screwdriver and the end of the can opener) i can keep all the screws tight on my 1894s which always seem to work loose.

are caused by ammo that is improperly made. If factory loads jam it is the gun.
Fix it.
I hate it when I see a gun that someone has scratched it all to heck with a sharp tool.
I did have a cartridge explode once when I had to use a rod to drive it out of the chamber, 92 44 40 . The primer hit something in the action when I drove it out of the chamber.
Most of the time on the Browning design leverguns you can put pressure on the extractor with your thumb to facilitate initial extraction.
Rounds should fall in and fall out.
I hope that you don't have to use a tool often.

Life is good

I'm on my 2nd Leatherman, wore out the first one. "New" one is bigger but more versatile. Damned things are too big and heavy to tote around but too handy to leave home without. Don't recall using it on a levergun other than for sight adjustments, tho. Mebbe a wayward 22lr case now and then.

I either carry a Leatherman or the Gerber Multi pliers with me here on the farm. I actually prefer the gerber a bit more than the leatherman, but both work well for various little jobs that can occur when hunting, fishing, or shooting.

Best wishes,

Joe
