i have 4 saiga's...2 in 5.45 and 2 in 7.62. all converted back to true(r) ak form. i've put the tech-sights on two of them and it makes them so much easier to hit with. i have no desire to reload either since both are cheap to shoot and give good enough accuracy.

It's not that hard and when you do it, you'll kick yourself for wasting even five minutes with that bullpup style trigger linkage.

the trigger and rear stock are very easy. i can do one in 20 minutes now and use an electric die grinder, punch and hammer.
the front end takes more time and really isn't needed unless you want a muzzle break. i use a harbor freight shop press to remove the old front sight post and gas block, put on a surplus handguard retainer ($12) and press the gas block back on. then istall a surplus ak-74 front sight post and a zigzag break which works great.
i say do the trigger right away, it's worth the effort.
