I picked up a block of bullet lube at a show today. It's 3X3 X12 inches long brick wrapped in shrink plastic. Labled Texaco Turak bullet lube. Any good? It looks like a lifetime supply for me. Seems I recall something like this used in the 60's when I was just getting started in handloading. Any one know anything about this stuff? Thanks, the toolman.

I have never used it, but a CBA member published a few articles on its use. To put it mildly, he was sold on it as both a solid lube and a tumble lube. It sems that very little was necessary to prevent leading and accuracy was outstanding in his tests. If you use it as a tumble lube, you really do have a lifetime supply. I will dig up whatever info I can find in The Fouling Shot and post it.

I just realized I put this out some time ago. If yours is in a brick, it's probably the unadulterated stuff.

You cant melt this stuff so if you want to put it in a lube sizer ,cut it up in pieces and push it into the reservoir. Arnie
