I am going to cast bullets for me lee enfield and mosin nagant rifles. I am woondring if the regular 30 cal gas checks work on the base of the gas checkd fat 30 cal mold? Or am I over thinking this?

Also those of you that have orederd check makers from pat in 35 plain base how well are they working out for you? time frame for shipping from pat for them.

I was wondering the same thing about the 30's.

I love it the 35PB!
Makes 9mm a breeze. Any load your having trouble with, this makes it easy.

I think it depends on the shipping. He's a 1 man crew for a whole company and sometimes its fast like mine, and sometimes it takes awhile.

Not having a "fat" 30 mold to put checks on, I`ll answer your question logically. The next size up in gas checks is for 8mm from 30 cal. So I`m imagining a standard 30 is still used unless noted by the mold maker.Robert

I have one fat 30 mold, which I use for both my Lee-enfield and mosin (size as needed for each), and the standard 30 cal gas checks fit perfectly.

I believe you will find molds vary a lot.
I have an old 311291 Lyman single cavity. It drops very consistent bullets, which I like very much in comparison to multiple molds.
Although it is supposed to be dropping .311" diameter, mine consistently drops .314 with Lyman #2 alloy.
I size everything I cast so I know the diameter is the same in my bullets. And my sizing die is honed to .3105, which is .002" over my bore slug.
Short of setting up a sizing die for each rifle, maybe finding your largest requirement and then trying that size bullet in the tighter bores could lead you to nirvana.
You might need two sizer dies for a battery of rifles. Or more.
I am lucky in my mold drops fat so I can size down.
An alternative would be custom molds.
Here are Lee mold offerings from .309 (30 cal) (http://www.titanreloading.com/molds/bullet-molds/30-caliber-rifle) to .324. (8mm) (http://www.titanreloading.com/molds/bullet-molds/762-x-39-303-b-8mm) (Which includes the .303 cal offerings)
