I bid on an RCBS mould for the 44-250-KT last week and the price went crazy. NOT! A few days ago, I tried again and won(?) another copy of the same mould for $55. I opened the package with crossed fingers and :>) If this mould has been used at all it might have cast 10 bullets. It hasn't even turned blue from the heat yet. I cast today and it threw .432 bullets from ww + 2% tin I'm very happy. I have the 44-250-K and it will only throw bullets that are barely .431 from Lyman #2. I hope this bullet shoots well as I like the looks better than the Keith. The nose is barely shorter but the driving bands are the same. The crimping groove is smaller as is the lube groove. I think the Keith carries too much lube anyway, at least more than necessary with modern lubes. I havn't tried it with Bear grease though :>) Just joking.
I have another mould bid going, I hope it turns out as well.

Hi,
Congrats on the mold! Found this to explain and show the difference in these two RCBS molds! http://smith-wessonforum.com/reloading/121503-44-cal-rcbs-molds-what-difference.html

Here is my old original photo that seagiant referred to.
The 44-250-KT is a favorite of mine !

[L to R] RCBS 44-245KT, 44-250KT, and again 44-250K

RCBS has unfortunately changed its catalog designations around. Based on the mould boxes:

my 44-245KT is currently called 44-245-SWC #82043

my 44-250KT is currently called 44-250-SWC #82044

my 44-250-K is still 44-250-K #82080

GLL - I actually printed out that picture from a post a couple of months ago and that is what put me on a hunt for that perticular mould. Thanks

Hi GLL,
Thanks for the pics and the nice write up! Being the poster child for RCBS molds,I am always looking for info and opinions. I went to my loading bench trying to remember if the older paper boxed mold was the 44-250-K,that I had bought from a member here but it turned out to be the Keith for my 41 Mag.!
