Hate the BFR grips so took a piece of scrap and whittled a pair.

Looks nice.. how hard was it to do.. I'm considering the same thing. I need a nice fat grip that isnt so long front to back.

Not to hard. I used a band saw to rough cut shape, then roughed in the shape on the sander.

Then whittled it to fit and final shape. Have a set of flexcut knives.

Then hand sand. They aren't done just wiped on some tung oil to see the grain.

Took about 2 hrs. Need to get the grip screw.

Thanks for the compliments. The other grips are way to big for my stubby fingers. It was bruising the web of my thumb cause the gun wouldn't roll like its made to. My FA is more comfortable to shoot even though it is lighter. Once I get these to fit I might make some out of some of the crotch wood I cut last year. Those should look good.
