I'd like to see a mould like this for my modern 38-55....but also have a larger diameter choice for the guys shooting vintage rifles...maybe offered in a choice of .379 for modern chambers and .381-.382 diameters for older chambers.(I can only speak for the modern chamber of my Win Highwall)
I would also like to see the ability to mix gas checked and plain base in the same mould.
What do you guys think, and what would you like to see?
If anyone can supply a drawing it would be much appreciated.
Would also like mould to be either aluminum or brass....

Please See attached picture below.....

Thanks for looking,
johnny

I could get interested in a .380-.381 plain base multi cav (4) aluminum is fine by me. NOE would be my choice.

I'd like to use this in my Highwall, but would also dabble with it in my 375 Ruger...NOE is fine by me...just hope we can generate enough interest...

I would be interested in a 381-382 dia. mold. I have a H&R Target with a 381 bore I neck reamed to take the larger dia bullets.

I just sent Swede a PM asking if he could help us out here...
He said he would, and is working on getting a drawing for us. (Thanks again Swede!!)
So now this thread will be officially for an aluminum NOE mould....
Looking to go .379 as the smaller diameter option, and one larger diameter to be determined
by you guys...say .381-.382? PB, GC, or both.
.379 should be perfect for anyone with a modern highwall, while still having the ability to size for anyone shooting a .375 Steyr/H&H/Ruger etc... Looks like .381 is the choice diameter for the larger offering right now....just remember(IMHO) its easier to size down than to bump up!

Thanks guys,
johnny

If there is enough interest I will get some samples and go to work on it.

I'M IN. Normbro! on your H & R is that the buffalo rifle with the 381 bore? I have one new I have never shot it or slugged the bore. GD

Gandydacer,

Yes -

My H&R 38-55 is a Target model 1871 with heavy 28 inch barrel, checkered stocks, case colored frame and butt plate. I think it was made in 2004.

The cartridges I was given with the rifle would key hole, so I slugged the bore. It measures .3807 dia.

Fellas,

This looks pretty dead to me, and I am in 2 other .375 buys right now, so I am opting out on this one....Good Luck with it!
