Anyone have one handy, that you could measure the depth of the mold cavity for me ?
Mine seems like the cavities were cut too deep. Using hard ball their droping at 240gr and have a .030" or so step at the bottom of the bevel.
Seems like I need to remove some material from the top of my mold, but how much ?
TIA
Cheers, YV

.620". I removed the BB and don't remember if it had a shank or not, I think not because the regular groove version I have also measures .620" and makes a clean bevel base with razor-sharp edges at the top of the blocks. I'd weigh some, but with the BB removed it would be overweight anyway.

Sounds like you got a free gas-check shank!

Mine measures .0615 and drops 238~239 grain boolits with straight WW alloy.

Don't have my length numbers handy, but I am quite sure my boolits are a very consistent 240g using 10:1 WW/Lino. I know I don't need them that hard, but I bought the ingots at a pretty good price and that's what the seller told me was the composition.
