Janet is most definitely a girly girl and she likes the roses and chocolate and card stuff on Valentine's Day. She likes to shoot, too. So, I thought I'd do something a little different this year.

I got her a Savage Model 64 .22LR auto rifle in black synthetic. She wants it painted hot fuchsia (that's pink for you guys), so I'll get a can of that Krylon stuff they make for plastic outdoor furniture. Janet's gonna put hearts and flowers and teddy bears and butterflies on it made outa' polymer clay. Hey, it's her rifle, she can decorate it any way she wants, right? Dern right!

I love to make my wife smile!

My niece also wanted a "pink" rifle, so her husband bought her one for their anniversary. It's a pink camo rifle made by Mossberg in 22LR. She let me shoot it when I went to see my Dad in Georgia. Nice little rifle. Her husband even put a 3-9 scope on it and got it all sighted in and now you cannot pry that little rifle from her. Next time I go to GA to see my Dad, I'll take my flintlock for her to try out. Then I'm sure she will want a flintlock--but a pink one. BC

I have seen a pink 50 Browning. It shot right along with the rest of the regular colored ones.

Good for you Jim! Just be SURE to keep her happy now that she has her own Rifle! Looking at the business end of something like that with an ANGRY woman on the other end COULD turn ugly in short order!

PLEASE don't ask how I know!

I have started raising funds to get you over here for the "Jim of Floyd Lecture Tour for Men".

I found $1.38 in loose change in the sofa!
Let's see, where else I can find money to donate.

Can't cut out my scrap lead barters and purchases.

Got an eye on a new '06 rifle, and a good scoped .223.

A collection of replica cap & ball revolvers would be cool. Then I need more black powder then feeding the 45-70 and 45 Colt. And percussion caps and round ball moulds.

Oh, well, there's always a tin cup collection on the street corner. [smilie=s:
