I just found this mould in the back of my mould boxes and wonder if anyone has any load recommendations.

I searched previous Cast Boolits' posts. 6.0 gr of Bullseye was the only load I found. I found 7.0 gr of Unique listed in the Ideal Nr 38 manual.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

400-425 gr. do well with 22.5 grs 2400 and a tuft of dacron.

Like Run said, 22 to 24 gr of 24 is hard to beat in 45-70 with a 400 to 425 gr bullet.

According to the Ideal-Lyman Mould chart, the 457127 is a round nose, flat base 210 grain bullet.

Right - it's a light weight. I want something that's low recoil and easy on the lead supply. Makes my Marlin from 1972 an interesting "plinker".

Can load em up with .457 Round balls for fun plinking too. ;)
