I got a kick out of this. I imagine there are still a number of Volts, Leafs, and Priuses that get stuck despite the sign.

That is one of the most picturesque drives in the area. Too bad so many people found out about it when they closed Hwy 50 for repairs and rerouted all traffic through there. Lots of nice camping spots and hiking trails there.

1000 ft in elevation can make a huge difference. May not be there, may be five miles up.

Donner party could have used this sign, just watched the movie last week it was free on Comcast, old movie I had never seen it before.

That sign is right on. I have been through mountain passes with the road cut through 20 feet of snow, twenty minutes later we were traveling through 70 degree heat in a valley with the fruit trees blooming. Thirty minutes later the next pass had 15 feet of snow. That was around the end of March....
