I had one of these about 15 years ago and still kick myself for selling it. Well I found another one yesterday at the gun shop for a reasonable (for now) price. It's in the safe now, can't wait to go smack some silhouettes off their stands with it. Only thing is it has a scope mounted and didn't come with the rear sight so I guess I'll have to find one eventually. It has a 8 3/8" barrel so no concealed carry with this one, it's just for silhouettes. Woo Woo!

GREAT FIND! One of those rear sights shouldn't be too difficult to locate.

Ah Hates Y'all!!!!!! Millett makes great sights BTW. P.S. if'n you want to get rid of that ridiculously long barrel, I might be persuaded to take it off your hands.

Are the Millett rear sights still in production? I looked at their site a while back, and didn't see a reference to them. They were/are EXCELLENT aftermarket sights for the S&W revos.

OK, I'll do that when there is time and I can dig out the camera. I checked and I have lots of ammo for it, now to get some time to go to the range........

Got a picture this morning. Let's see if this works.....

I did get to shoot it yesterday. My regular silhouette load of 5.5gr. AA#5 under a Ideal #3118 shot as good as I could see. It wasn't hard to pop beer cans at 100 yards offhand. This thing really shoots!http://castboolits.gunloads.com/imagehosting/thum_5334f413ae7bf073.jpg (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/vbimghost.php?do=displayimg&imgid=4024)

Is there anything better than a 32H&R Magnum?...........I got a bunch of them, including a 6" M16 S&W.........Great fun and easy to load for.

THAT is a rat-strafing, steel-clanging machine right there. My own (6") wears only factory irons, and still has accounted for a lot of varmints and small game since its arrival in 1989.

I bought a 4" 16-4 last fall.

Had thought it was a 4" 586 in the used handgun case...but no...it was in .32 magnum.

Price was very good..so I bought it.

For some reason or other..the Model 16 S&W revolvers bring crazy prices! I gave $495 for mine..and that's about 1/2 price for what most of these seem to bring.

My 6" is a wonder to shoot. I use a 118 gr 32-20 bullet on top of 2.5 gr of Clays for fun & accuracy.

Have the chambers relieved to shoot the .327 Federal Magnum cartridge and you'll be able to hunt deer using factory ammunition with consummate ease. I know people that have done this, and they never regretted the alteration.

I used to own a Blackhawk chambered for 30 carbine. That was too much of a good thing, and I used to load it to 32-20 ballistics. I think I'll keep this one a 32 H&R and use the 44 mag for deer.

You can always buy a second cylinder, have it relieved (and timed) for the .327 Fed. Mag. cartridge. You can keep it in reserve and use it to outperform any .32-20 on the planet. (Let's face facts, the cartridge operates at higher pressures than any .32-20) or the .30 Carbine. the .327 Fed. Mag. has superseded both cartridge in either a revolver or long arms with 16-18" barrels.

www.ballisticsbytheinch.com has proven this.

You can always return the .32 H&R Magnum cylinder to the handgun. No harm, no foul.
